So I had a jam packed weekend-here are the highlights
Friday after work went to Barnes and Noble to pick up a foreign newspaper for my Suzi Blu mixed media piece-only Barnes and Noble no longer sell international newspapers
(I feel certain they did at one time) so I headed to an asian market down the street
and found some really cool papers to use called Joss paper and a newspaper-Bingo!
Picked up a salad at Chipotle and drove home-after dinner and taking care of the fur babies I worked on my Suzi Blu angel until maybe 1:30 am-went to bed and woke up to the phone ringing-It was my friend Donna wondering what time we were leaving to go to Renninger's Antique market-I told her I could be ready in about an hour or so-so I hurried and went to the dry cleaners and then came home and took a quick shower and got ready-grabbed the card I got from My Secret Goblin and the latest copy of Cloth Paper Scissors and headed out only to find myself stuck in my neighborhood due to a charity foot race taking place that morning-I finally after going down 4 different streets convinced a police officer that I REALLY needed to get out and he stopped the pedestrians long enough to let me cross-picked up Donna and we headed out-I showed her my adorable card and gave her the magazine to read on the way-there are some super cute fake cupcakes in this issue that we decided we are going to make and made it our mission for the day to find embellishments for them. We spent the day scouring booth after booth of antiques finding lots of vintage goodies-I found a bunch of great things for the vintage Ephemera Swap I am in-I also found a most enchanting jar filled with goodies that I could not resist-It is a whimsy jar in the true sense! Then we drove home and I dropped Donna off and headed to the grocery store because I had babysitting duties that night-As soon as I arrived home I had to put on my Mary Poppins hat:) We watched a lot of Elmo and Mr. Noodle-If you have never seen Mr. Noodle you have to check it out-I stayed up after putting Slaten to bed and worked on a new piece for Suzi's class. By midnight I was exhausted and went to bed-Got up the next morning-fixed breakfast and then we colored!!! Yay for crayons. After Slaten was picked up-I started straightening up my studio a bit-It was a disaster!!!-I worked for several hours and at least now I can see my worktable-the rest of the day I took it easy and worked some more on my "party girl" Here are a few photos I took along the way
