Live from Atlanta

So, I am blogging from the business center at my hotel in Atlanta and it is like watching a b movie-I am typing and there is a 5 second delay and so I keep re-typing things and then having to delete them-it is Frustrating to say the least.  I just got back from the Atlanta gift show-was there about 11 hours today-and yesterday counting travel time was a 14 hour day and I am tired!!!  But not matter how tiring it is and how many times I have done the show I still get excited seeing all the new products and ingenious ideas people come to the market with.  I don't have any way to upload photos here but I have tweeted a few pics today from the show.  I even had the privilege of meeting Mary Englebreit today-such a nice person!!!  I am still mourning the fact the ME Home Companion no longer exists! So now before it gets too late and I keel over from exhaustion I am going to go find something to eat!  Happy Friday:)

 

 

 

Fireworks

Hope everyone had relaxing 4th of July-after the past several weeks I got some much needed rest over the long holiday weekend-even though I worked a half day on Saturday.  We actually went to a movie on the 4th and timed it just right so when the movie was over we could walk to Lake Eola and watch the fireworks display-which were pretty spectacular and then had a bite to eat at the Relax Cafe which is an outdoor eatery located on the lake.  I took a some photographs while trying to keep up with everyone as we were walking-here are just a few:)

We thought about it for a second- but passed on the funnel cake-

They sure looked delicious though:D

Bloopers & Behind the Scenes

Wow- what a week!-make that two weeks.  What an incredibly fun time I had visiting all the Wonderland parties-even if it did take me 4 days to make it to all of them.  Working all weekend left me little time for party hopping.  The creativity was mind blowing and truly inspiring!!!

I wanted to leave you with a behind the scenes slideshow-We had a few wardrobe mishaps and props that could not withstand the Heat!  Again,my sincerest thanks to all who stopped by and for the kind comments-I am going to prolong the drawing for the goodie bags until I get back from my business trip next week-sorry for the delay but I have ordered something to include and they will not be here until I get back so stay tuned:D

I was Delighted to find this sweet table abandoned on the curb-with a few small repairs and a fresh coat of paint-It makes the perfect tea-party table.  So always keep an eye out on Trash day. You never know what treasures you might find:D

We have candy and bubble gum-cookies and cakes

Finger foods served on tiny finger plates.

So pull up a chair there is plenty of room-despite what the Madhatter might have you think.  

I had to tell the Madhatter it is not polite to bark at our guests:)

We even polished our finest silver for you-(okay true confessions-I bribed my daughter to polish the silver) 

Would you like Alice to pour you a Cup or two?

Madhatter's Eve

'Twas the night before the the Tea Party and all through the house all the creatures are stirring including the doormouse.  The table is painted the goodies prepared-Excited the Madhatter soon will be there!!!

Seeing Stars & Stripes

Just finished up 52 charms and 15 tags for Cyndy's 4th of July Swap and I am seeing stars - I am sure my eyes are a little RED too after fastening all 52 of those clasps.  It seems like I have a lot of deadlines coming at me all at once but I somehow managed to get these out just in the nick of time.  I worked with a new material( for me) on the tags this time called Lutrador.  I am excited to try different techniques with it.  I printed the image of the Statue of Liberty on my inkjet printer.  I tried a couple of images before deciding I liked this one the best.  Can't wait for the 4th of July celebrations-It's going to be here so soon!

Kawaii Surprises

I joined a Kawaii Swap at the end of February and was sorely disappointed when it was suddenly cancelled just before the due date.  But thanks to an angel by the name of Kristi the swap is back on and my Kawaii surprises are on their way.  Can't wait to get all the cuteness in the mail!  What a happy day that will be:D - I would show you what's inside but it's a surprise so you will have to wait along with me until I receive the swap goodies then I will post pictures of everything!

Want to wish my mom & dad a Happy Anniversary! They are celebrating 61 years together today-I thought I had one of their wedding pictures and I am sure I do somewhere just nowhere to be found right now.  That's okay though- it gives me another opportunity to post my favorite photo of them again-this was actually on their honeymoon so that counts right?
